What is KAMATECH POS?+
KAMATECH POS is a web-based point of sale and business management system built for Ugandan shops, service providers, and sales teams. It handles sales, inventory, credit, invoices, mobile money, reports, workers, expenses, and documents — all in one place, in UGX.
Does KAMATECH POS work on mobile phones?+
Yes. The full system is mobile-responsive and works on any smartphone browser. No app download is needed. The dashboard, POS, checkout, and reports all work on iPhone and Android.
Does KAMATECH POS support mobile money?+
Yes. KAMATECH POS integrates with MarzPay to accept MTN and Airtel mobile money payments. Every transaction records the customer-charged amount, the 3% MarzPay fee, and the amount payable to you after fees.
Can I sell on credit and track who owes me?+
Yes. Credit sales are a core feature and one of our key differentiators. You can sell on credit, record customer details and expected payment dates, track partial payments, and auto-generate final receipts when the balance is cleared. Many generic POS tools do not handle this credit workflow well.
Does each business get its own workspace?+
Yes. Every approved tenant gets a dedicated subdomain — for example, yourshop.kamatechpos.com. Your data is isolated from all other tenants. You log in at your own subdomain and never share a workspace with another business.
How do I get a subdomain?+
During the signup process, you choose your preferred subdomain. The system checks availability in real time. A suggestion is generated from your business name (e.g. Dave Tech Shop → davetech), but you can change it to anything available.
How much does KAMATECH POS cost?+
Your first 30 days are completely free. After that, choose UGX 300,000 for 3 months, UGX 1,500,000 for 6 months, or UGX 2,500,000 for 1 year. All plans include training, support, all features, and real-time contact support.
Can I generate invoices and documents?+
Yes. KAMATECH POS includes a full document generator for invoices, proforma invoices, and quotations. Upload your logo and signature, add line items with tax and discount, and download a branded PDF. Edited documents are watermarked as revised automatically.
Can I create workers and control what they see?+
Yes. You can create worker accounts under your tenant with granular permissions — view, edit, and download access per module. You can also set commission rates per worker or globally, and mark commission payouts as paid.
How do I sign up?+
Click Get Started, fill in your business details and preferred subdomain, verify your email, and wait for owner approval. Once approved, you receive a secure link to set your password. You then log in at your subdomain and can start selling immediately.
Is my data private and separate from other businesses?+
Yes. All tenant data is stored with tenant isolation — every record is tagged to your tenant ID and no query can cross tenant boundaries. Your data is completely separate from every other business on the platform.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. You can export your full balance ledger to Excel, including summary, sales, expenses, and commissions sheets. PDF reports for sales, worker performance, and receipts are also downloadable.
